Proverbs 9:7-9

Proverbs 9: 7-9 (AMP) 7  He who rebukes a scorner heaps upon himself abuse, and he who reproves a wicked man gets for himself bruises.8  Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you. 9  Give instruction to a wise man and he will be yet wiser; teach a righteous man (one upright and in right standing with God) and he will increase in learning.
Though the Gospel is to be proclaimed to everyone, even to those who have contempt for the message, yet when they despise, ridicule and mock it, you must move on.  To rebuke the wicked will only create animosity toward you that will bring reproach to you and your message. In life teach the teachable, instruct those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Time is precious so invest yourself in others wisely!
Heavenly Father, give me the courage and compassion to share the truth of your love with all men and the wisdom to know who to invest my life in that I may be fruitful extending Your Kingdom on the earth. Amen.

  1. Wow! Good perspective on this. It makes me stop and consider whether my time is focused well.
