Today’s Prayer-Bible-Journal 05.24.25
Scripture: “For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20 NLT)
“With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.” (Psalm 108:13 NLT)
My impression from the Lord: How can one live above the power of temptation? How can you rise above the corruption of this world? How can you walk victorious over the schemes of the enemy who seeks your destruction?
Only by the power of my Word and the help of the Holy Spirit! Yes, you can rise victorious! Yes, you can live a holy life! Yes, you can rise above your enemies and see them defeated!
Only by the power of God. With his help you can walk in freedom. You can walk above the shame and condemnation of the enemy.
Will you yield today? Will you allow God's power, the power of his Word and of his Spirit to bring redemption and freedom into your life? The decision is yours alone. I plead with you surrender to the power of the Lord and begin walking in renewed freedom!
My responsive prayer: Yes Lord! I yield my life to you. I renew my vow to follow you wholeheartedly, to set aside my fears, my failures, and to acknowledge my weakness, to receive your forgiveness, your power, your victory, in my life today!

Today’s PBJ, a sobering reminder and promised victory!
“Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. . . But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!” (1 Peter 4:12, 16 NLT)
“I do not trust in my bow; I do not count on my sword to save me. You are the one who gives us victory over our enemies; you disgrace those who hate us.” (Psalm 44:6-7 NLT)
Trials and persecution will come to those who choose to follow the Lord. The student is not greater than the teacher. Persecution comes to both! Continue to put your full trust in the Lord. His strength, his spirit, will enable you to persevere. He alone is your victory. Do not trust in your own strength but lean into his embrace. Receive his comfort and walk in his joy!
Yes, my Lord. My trust can only be in you for I recognize that my strength will never be sufficient to endure the fiery trials, difficulties, and temptations to come. You alone are my rock, my shield, my shelter, the anchor of my soul, and in you I find strength, courage, and joy. In you I will win the day and walk in redemptive victory!
